The Minnesota Nongame Wildlife Program works to help thousands of species of Minnesota wildlife like bees, butterflies, songbirds, eagles, loons, frogs, turtles, and bats thrive through habitat restorations, surveys & monitoring, technical guidance, and outreach and education - including the Eagle and Falcon cams! The Minnesota Nongame Wildlife Program is funded almost entirely through grants and donations. We do not receive money from hunting & fishing license sales or state taxes (general fund).
Donations are tax deductible and matched dollar for dollar by the Reinvest in Minnesota (RIM) license plate fund. So a $10 donation provides $20 for nongame work. Double your impact, donate today!
With your permission, we would like to thank you by listing and highlighting your contributions on our Donor Appreciation webpage (in development), and periodically on the DNR Twitter account (@mndnr) and via our Nongame Wildlife Program Facebook.

Make a donation right now! Donations can be made with Master Card or Visa and are made via a secure (US Bank) website. NEW: You now have the option to make a one-time donation or setup recurring donations on a schedule most convenient to you. Login to update your recurring payment options.
The loon marks the line where you can help preserve Minnesota s wildlife! Your donation makes a difference!
How does the checkoff work? On your Minnesota tax form (M-1) or property tax form (M1-PR), look for the line with the loon symbol. Write in the amount of the donation you wish to make (for example, $10).
So look for the loon on your state tax form and fill in your contribution. It's easy, it's fast, and it's tax deductible!
